I know I just insisted that turmeric was my absolute favourite, however apple cider vinegar has got to be right up there for me.
As a child my brother’s and I would look forward to our school holidays in Hervey Bay, where my grandparents resided. I have amazing childhood memories of our times there, but that is a whole blog on its own and I am here to rant about apple cider vinegar right now. These Hervey Bay visits however, are where I was introduced to apple cider vinegar and learnt it’s uses and benefits.
My grandfather was what you would could call a complete ‘health nut’, and was well before his time, it terms of health information and education. He ate supremely well, lots of oats, nuts, seeds, eggs, meats and loads of fresh vege and fruit……and LOADS of apple cider vinegar. In fact he swore by it, claiming many, many health benefits from consuming and using it as a healing application.
I clearly paid attention to my grandfather’s claims or rants as I love it for all its many uses and health benefits and use it daily in my own home.
So here’s what my old Grandad Jack told me that I am happy to share with you:
Consuming apple cider vinegar, either in salad dressings, cooking, and or right off the spoon as I do each morning (2 tablespoons every morning before breaky), you can except the following health benefits:
Lowers blood pressure, helps relieve migraines, lowers cholesterol, reduces inflammation, relieves arthritis, regulates pH balance, dissolves kidney stones, prevents flu and stomach illness, help relieve nausea, helps relieve heart burn, asthma, gout, and allergies, helps lower glucose levels on diabetes, AND aids weight loss and breaking down of fat!
Pretty cool huh! No wonder my ole Grandad lived until 96 years old!!!
Apple cider vinegar as a healing application:
Helps reduce acne, gets rid of warts, nail fungus, soothes bug bites and conditions and detangles hair.
Clearly you need to grab yourself a bottle of this wonderful liquid in a bottle. It’s best to buy organic and unfiltered, and containing ‘the mother’. I hope you love using this lovely apple cider vinegar and reap the many health benefits it offers.
Here’s to living until at least 96, healthily!
Today I am grateful for my Grandad Jack and all he taught me.
